Daily activities

The daily activities are:

-The day begins at 5:00 in the morning with a cold shower which helps to prepare the mind for the practice of yoga and meditation. Experience the benefits of the cold water shower.

-Then the singing of mantras in Sanskrit using musical instruments of India and their meaning in Spanish; this first meditation in the morning helps us to have control of the senses and lessen the intensity of the wishes that impede our spiritual progress.

-A reading and the study of the Vaisnava philosophy, "Srimad Bhagavatam" the book of the science of the soul and self-realization.

-Vegetarian cooked breakfast with a consciousness of love, spiritual food.

-After breakfast we prepare for the activities of selfless service to the community through the distribution of books of yoga, vegetarianism, Vedic wisdom and other charitable activities. In doing this it leads us to contribute to the development of the conscience of the people who are looking for relief from their suffering, a product of a life devoid of a correct spiritual guide.

These activities allow us to perceive the essence of the soul which is to selflessly serve others.

-In the evening we meet to participate in the ceremonies of purification, or Aratic, likewise performed in India by practitioners of Bhakti Yoga, followed by singing mantras in Sanskrit and the study of the book of philosophy, "Bhagavad Gita", the most ancient and indispensable in the wold, for practitioners of the Inbound yoga, and a light dinner, recommended by ayurveda (natural medicine) and the yogis of the world, known to prolong life and prevent premature aging.

-Rest is important in our ashram; this is done around 10 o'clock at night as so as to wake up early and get the benefits of Brama Muhurta, the time in which energy from the cosmos or Prana enters with more intensity into people who are prepared to receive it when washing the body and preparing the mind.
